Vertical Farming Innovation at the Heron Innovation Days

The goal was clearly defined from the outset: to show that we are more than “just” Vertic Greens, Heron CNC-Technik, Robotunits, and Servus Intralogistics.

We are Heron: a group of companies that uncompromisingly embraces innovation as its daily mission. Around 250 enthusiastic attendees took the opportunity to delve deep into the power of the group and experience synergies firsthand.

The entire Heron Group operates together from a central location in Dornbirn. That is our strategic advantage: we are mutual partners, customers and critics simultaneously.

With the Innovation Days, we have consistently communicated this internal strength to the outside world. We demonstrated how forward-looking vertical farming systems, precise CNC technology, a modular automation kit and intelligent intralogistics solutions benefit from each other under one roof.

Customers from a wide range of sectors and countries accepted our invitation to experience our innovative strength first-hand.

The program offered a perfect mix of specialist presentations, the presentation of world firsts, exclusive guided tours, and networking in a first-class and slightly snowy setting.

At the Innovation Days, we showed how we are changing the future of agriculture. With our modern Vertical Farming System, we provide a solution for the resource-saving production of pesticide-free and nutrient-rich food. Irrespective of climate zones and times of day, infinitely scalable and ready for global expansion.

A particular highlight of the event was the specialist presentation by project manager Maximilian Eiswirth and owner Christian Beer on the topic of "How innovation and nature are shaping the future". This clearly demonstrated how our solution is rethinking the global challenges of food production.

Visitors were not only able to see and hear about the advantages of vertical farming, but also taste them:

• Our quality won people over at the salad buffet. The feedback was clear—the freshness and taste of our salad, thanks to pesticide-free and nutrient-rich cultivation, is unmistakable. A taste difficult to achieve these days by conventional agriculture.
• A thank you from the plant: our company restaurant, the “Haselnuss” (Hazelnut), processed our aromatic microgreens into exclusive pesto and chutney, which were presented to visitors as a flavorful farewell gift.

Conclusion & outlook: Together into the future

The positive responses, the astonished looks, and the lively exchange between visitors and our experts showed that our message rang true.

The Heron Innovation Days allowed us to deepen existing partnerships and inspire new customers. It became clear that bundled innovative strength under one roof not only offers stability and security, but also enables the highest quality.
