Vertic Greens makes use of a digital twin

Thanks to AI and a digital twin, plant growth can be optimally and individually controlled. This twin continuously collects the relevant data in order to set the ideal cultivation and growth conditions – from temperature and water supply to light conditions and adjusted day/night cycles. In this way, predictable quantities of nutrient-rich products are grown – free from pesticides and with a significantly longer shelf life.

Our industrial DNA: Heron

Vertic Greens is part of the Heron Group and has access to decades’ worth of expertise in automation and leading technology – including from subsidiaries of Heron Innovations Factory such as Robotunits and Servus Intralogistics. Robotunits develops modular automation and conveyor technology systems, while Servus implements ultra-modern, autonomous intralogistics solutions. The company Heron itself comes from the special machine construction sector.

The core-automated facility was developed by Christian Beer, Managing Partner of Heron Innovations Factory, which also includes Vertic Greens, entirely from equity capital. While competitors are investing billions in facility development, Vertic Greens has long been focusing on increasing efficiency while benefitting from the dependable industrial know-how and expertise pooled from the entire Heron Group. Their partner Hörburger is also involved in development and brings in their expertise in energy and air conditioning technology.
